Job Responsibilities
- Install, test, and repair trailer electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, HVAC controls, generator hookups, inverters, solar panels, and more.
- Interpret and work from complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Ensure all work meets current electrical codes, industry standards, and company quality requirements.
- Supervise and support apprentices and junior technicians, ensuring proper training and task completion.
- Troubleshoot system failures and identify root causes quickly and efficiently.
- Cookordinate with other departments (e.g., fabrication, plumbing, HVAC) to integrate systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation for installations, repairs, and project progress.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Participate in project planning meetings and provide input on electrical design and feasibility.
Required Skills And Experience
- Certified Journeyman Electrician.
- Minimum 4 years of electrical experience in a residential and/or commercial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of AC/DC systems, shore power, generators, inverters, battery systems, and control wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to quality.
- Safety conscious with good housekeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Displays initiative to learn and to take on more responsibilities.
- Ability to learn to operate forklift.
