Certified Dining Services Director

About the role

The Dining Services Director at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is a critical position requiring a high level of expertise and dedication. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the dietary department and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across all dietary functions
• Assist and lead the Dietary staff in managing daily operations
• Coordinate dietary services with other departments and external parties
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Provide exceptional hospitality and communication to residents, families, guests, and team members
• Carry out dining services practices and procedures
• Seek out and implement new methods and principles in dining services
• Interpret and respond to financial data and cost reports
• Support the organization's core values of S.H.A.R.E. (Service, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Accredited course in dietetic training approved by the ADAN
• Food Service Sanitation (serv safe) certification
• Culinary or Hospitality Degree Preferred
• CDM Certification Preferred
• Three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility
• Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Registered as a Dining Service Director in this state
