About the role
The Dining Services Director at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is a critical position requiring a high level of expertise and dedication. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the dietary department and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across all dietary functions
- Assist and lead the Dietary staff in managing daily operations
- Coordinate dietary services with other departments and external parties
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Provide exceptional hospitality and communication to residents, families, guests, and team members
- Carry out dining services practices and procedures
- Seek out and implement new methods and principles in dining services
- Interpret and respond to financial data and cost reports
- Support the organization's core values of S.H.A.R.E. (Service, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Accredited course in dietetic training approved by the ADAN
- Food Service Sanitation (serv safe) certification
- Culinary or Hospitality Degree Preferred
- CDM Certification Preferred
- Three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility
- Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Registered as a Dining Service Director in this state
