Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive experience for children and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
• Focuses on the psychosocial development of children, providing emotional support, developmentally appropriate information, and play opportunities to help them cope.
• Utilizes play and self-expressive activities to minimize stress and anxiety for patients and families.
• May assist in application review and interview process for child life students and serve as a child life mentor.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintains professional development and appropriate certifications.
• Maintains child life certification by attending professional development webinars, in services, and conferences.

Requirements

• Meets all requirements for CLS job description.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrates core competence with all child life skills.
• Bachelor's degree (Required).
• Master's degree (Preferred).
• Field of Study in Child Life, Education, Recreation Therapy, Child Development or related field.
• Child Life Specialist Certification (CCLS) (Required).

Pay

$20.97 - $38.99 per hour
