How You'll Contribute

• Prepare the operating room by establishing sterile fields and organizing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure
• Verify instrument readiness by inspecting, testing, and confirming the functionality and sterility of all surgical tools and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments, sponges, sutures, and supplies with precision and efficiency during procedures
• Maintain accurate counts of all instruments, sponges, needles, and surgical materials before, during, and after each case to prevent retained surgical items
• Ensure OR cleanliness and safety by maintaining an organized environment and completing thorough room turnovers between cases per hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Support quality initiatives by actively participating in patient safety, infection prevention, and performance improvement programs

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Surgical Tech national certification
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Handle with Care certification preferred
