Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist
About the role
Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assists by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
- Maintains par level of all instruments and supplies.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Trains new staff.
- Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
- BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
- Training: Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

- Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and equipment.
- Ability to monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $33.81 to $48.97.
