Certified Caregiver - Wa
About the role
Provides personal caregiving services and support in the client’s home. Assists with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Supports the personal needs, comfort, and safety of clients. Prepares meals and assists with special diets. Performs general housekeeping and household support activities. Provides compassionate companionship and emotional support. Assists with transportation to appointments, errands, and activities. Administers medications as delegated and permitted by state regulations, including completion of Nurse Delegation.
Responsibilities
- Absorbs and processes information verbally and in writing
- Communicates effectively in person and by phone
- Assists with Passive Range of Motion activities when properly credentialed and trained
- Offers limited assistance with vital signs for informational purposes only, in accordance with company guidelines
- Maintains accurate communication and reporting changes in client condition to the appropriate care team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Current HCA or CNA license required (renewed annually)
- Ability to meet BCCU background check requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work responsibly with confidential information
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently with good judgment
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching with hands and arms
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Use of a computer keyboard and electronic documentation systems
- Moderate to loud noise levels depending on the environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures in home or office settings
