Certified Caregiver - Wa

About the role

Provides personal caregiving services and support in the client’s home. Assists with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Supports the personal needs, comfort, and safety of clients. Prepares meals and assists with special diets. Performs general housekeeping and household support activities. Provides compassionate companionship and emotional support. Assists with transportation to appointments, errands, and activities. Administers medications as delegated and permitted by state regulations, including completion of Nurse Delegation.

Responsibilities

• Absorbs and processes information from clients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Communicates with clients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding client progress and concerns.
• Maintains accurate records and reports changes in client condition to the appropriate care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current HCA or CNA license required (renewed annually).
• Ability to meet BCCU background check requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently with good judgment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
