About the role
Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes.
Responsibilities
- Service contracted schools and/or professional teams and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes.
- Serve local high schools and various community events in/around the greater Lafayette, IN area.
- Support career growth through access to a nationwide, professional support network.
- Participate in outreach opportunities and events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program.
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification.
- CPR certification.
- Applicable state license where required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program.
- Successfully completed NATA-BOC Board of Certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Required to have applicable state license where required.
Skills
- Ability to design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes' rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury.
- Ability to determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record changes based on athlete response.
- Experience managing emergency incidents, coordinating EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.
