Certified Athletic Trainer - PRN

About the role

RUSH Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for student athletes at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, IN.

Responsibilities

• Service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes.
• Support Purdue University Northwest on a PRN basis.
• Implement and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease the risk of injury.
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record changes based on athlete response.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.).

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification.
• CPR certification.
• Applicable state license where required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of athletic training techniques and rehabilitation.
• Ability to manage emergency situations effectively.
• Outreach and event coordination skills.
