Certified Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist
NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic full-time Injury Prevention Specialist / Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team supporting a leading medical device company in Minnetonka, MN. This dynamic role integrates ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and enhance overall employee well-being.
About the role
This on-site position is located at 2104 Northdale Blvd Suite 100, Coon Rapids, MN 55433, supporting a leading medical device company in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits
- Conduct movement assessments and develop preventative exercise programs
- Engage with new hire employees on education, ergonomics, and injury prevention
- Deliver return-to-work program for employees returning from injury
- Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees
- Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
- Applicable state license where required
- Minimum one year of experience as an Athletic Trainer
- CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training
- Industrial Health experience
Schedule
Monday - Thursday (8am-6pm)
Pay
$50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on years of experience
Incentives: $5,000 sign-on bonus, $200 monthly tuition assistance for student debt
