About the Role
The Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) reports to the Director of Operations. The AT provides clinic and community-based point-of-service for sports-related prevention, care, coverage, rehabilitation, referral, and marketing for musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related ailments. This role serves athletes across all age groups—school-aged, adolescent, early adult, middle adult, and late adult—within a defined environment. The AT operates under the general supervision of a physician, physical therapist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sports-related injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation services.
- Provide on-site coverage and support for athletic events and activities.
- Facilitate referrals for musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related conditions.
- Engage in community outreach and marketing for sports medicine services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college with a BS/BA in a relevant field.
- Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC).
- Certified as an Athletic Trainer in South Carolina by DHEC.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers (or AHA-recognized equivalent) or the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Hourly pay grade: Health-26.
Schedule
Scheduled weekly hours: 40 (full-time).
