Certified Athletic Trainer

About the role

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for athletes within the Norristown School District. The position is a 12-month contract at the school with no clinical time.

Responsibilities

• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification, CPR certification, applicable state license where required

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred

Skills

• Ability to determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques
• Knowledge of emergency management and coordination of EMS and acute care procedures
• Outreach and event promotion skills

Pay

$55,000 - $65,000 annually, based on years of experience

Weekdays/Weekends, typical high school ATC hours
