About the Role

The Weekend Anesthesia Hero provides anesthesia care in a Level I Trauma Center, including pre-operative evaluations, anesthesia administration under supervision, patient monitoring during procedures, and pre- and post-anesthesia care. The role also involves responding to emergencies such as intubation and resuscitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for anesthesia
• Administer anesthesia collaboratively with anesthesiologists
• Monitor and support patients throughout procedures
• Manage emergency interventions and post-anesthesia care
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
• Ensure infection control and verify equipment functionality
• Maintain detailed records of anesthesia care

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with advanced certifications
• Graduation from a nationally accredited CRNA or CAA program
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to obtain Missouri licensure
• Preferred: 1+ years of anesthesia experience
