Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor

About the role

As a CADC at First Resources, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment to your assigned caseload. Your day-to-day activities will include conducting assessments, leading individual counseling sessions, and facilitating group therapy. You will work closely with your supervisor to ensure the quality of service implementation and maintain a designated number of billable units. Weekly staff meetings will be an integral part of your schedule, where you will collaborate with colleagues and may also serve on partnering committees.

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments
• Leading individual counseling sessions
• Facilitating group therapy
• Collaborating with your supervisor to ensure the quality of service implementation
• Maintaining a designated number of billable units
• Participating in weekly staff meetings
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders
• Developing and continuously assessing individualized treatment plans for each client
• Daily documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Preparing ASAMS appropriate for each level of care within established time limits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited four-year college preferred.
• Minimum of two years of substance abuse-related experience.
