Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor
About the role
As a CADC at First Resources, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment to your assigned caseload. Your day-to-day activities will include conducting assessments, leading individual counseling sessions, and facilitating group therapy. You will work closely with your supervisor to ensure the quality of service implementation and maintain a designated number of billable units. Weekly staff meetings will be an integral part of your schedule, where you will collaborate with colleagues and may also serve on partnering committees.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments
- Leading individual counseling sessions
- Facilitating group therapy
- Collaborating with your supervisor to ensure the quality of service implementation
- Maintaining a designated number of billable units
- Participating in weekly staff meetings
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders
- Developing and continuously assessing individualized treatment plans for each client
- Daily documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Preparing ASAMS appropriate for each level of care within established time limits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited four-year college preferred.
- Minimum of two years of substance abuse-related experience.
