POSITION TITLE: Certified Academic Support Tutor SCHOOL: Ivy Drive School Title I Snapshot Narrative: Certified Academic Support Tutor Ivy Drive Elementary School utilizes Title I funding to support equitable access to high-quality instruction and targeted academic interventions that address the diverse needs of our student population. In alignment with our school mission—to inspire students by building meaningful relationships, setting high expectations, and providing opportunities for ALL to succeed—Ivy Drive implements evidence-based supports designed to improve academic outcomes and promote whole-child development. A key Title I investment at Ivy Drive School is the Certified Academic Support Tutor position. This role provides targeted academic support to students through individual and small-group instruction during the school day. The Academic Support Tutor works in collaboration with classroom teachers to reinforce grade-level learning objectives, address identified skill gaps, and accelerate student learning based on ongoing assessment data. This support ensures that students who require additional instruction receive timely and appropriate intervention to meet academic expectations. The Academic Support Tutor also plays a critical role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, aligning with Ivy Drive's commitment to mutual respect, open communication, and student well-being. Through consistent relationship-building and differentiated instructional practices, students receiving academic support experience increased confidence, engagement, and academic resilience.
