Cert Sterile Processing Tech - Senior(Full-Time, Varied Shifts)

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced skills in decontamination, cleaning, packing, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical equipment across the hospital and affiliates.
• Serves as a resource for resolving complex issues, provides guidance to junior staff, and may assist in training new employees.
• Maintains and replenishes sterilization supplies, ensures availability of equipment, and follows established policies for distribution and stock maintenance.
• Upholds cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, adheres to protective measures, and completes ongoing education and training per department standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in sterile processing required.
• Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam and holds and maintains one of the following credentials: Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential, Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician credential.

Skills

• Central Service Technician certification required within 18 months of hire if does not meet grand-fathering requirements.
• Sterile Processing certification required within 18 months after employment if Hard to Fill clause is utilized.

Pay

$21.75 - $26.00 per hour
