Job Summary

The Respiratory Care role involves applying principles and techniques of cardiopulmonary medicine under the supervision or prescription of a licensed physician.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of respiratory procedures, including critical care and blood gas analysis
• Utilizing computerized equipment
• Ensuring patient safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved AMA Respiratory Therapy program
• Current license (temporary or permanent) from the State of Arkansas
• Knowledge of respiratory procedures, modalities, and blood gas analysis
• Eligibility or certification as CRT by NBRCC
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with healthcare computer systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional college or associate degree
• Previous hospital experience
• Certifications such as NRP, PALS, ACLS
• Advanced computer skills and ability to operate computerized patient care equipment
