Responsibilities
- As part of our HIS team, you will be assigned to our client site in Macon GA and assist with industrial and dewatering/sludge removal.
- Receive work direction from the on-site supervisor or PM, follow instructions carefully, maintain open and effective communication to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and proactively handle any challenges.
- Monitor and operate maximum centrifuge feed capacities, including conditioning centrifuge feed stock through polymer injection and the use of various chemical additives.
- Operate special equipment, such as positive displacement pumps and polymer blending systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment used for each project to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Operate light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers and mechanical tools.
- Learn, understand, and comply with all safety work practices, policies, and procedures always.
- Accurately maintain and promptly process expenses and timesheets.
- Consistently represent Handex in a professional manner while assigned to projects, collaborating effectively with teammates, and maintaining respectful and positive working relationships with the team.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- 2+ years of centrifuge operating experience along with intricate knowledge of 2 phase and 3 phase decanter centrifuge operations.
- Willingness to travel and work effectively at remote project sites, including 12-hour shifts along with flexible rotational schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Military industrial/mechanical experience a plus.
- Excellent team players with good communication skills, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable being in an industrial/refinery setting both indoors and outside as well as confined spaces and able to lift 50 lbs.
- TWIC card and 40 Hour OSHA is a plus.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a drivers license in good standing.
Qualifications
- Must pass pre-employment background checks which include physical/drug/alcohol/MVR/criminal.
Skills
- Comfortable being in an industrial/refinery setting both indoors and outside as well as confined spaces and able to lift 50 lbs.
- TWIC card and 40 Hour OSHA is a plus.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a drivers license in good standing.
Pay
Salary Range: $25.00 to $35.00/HR plus OT
