About the Opportunity:The CENTRALIZED TRANSPORTATION DISPATCH (FRI - MON SCHEDULE) role is responsible for dispatching and tendering customer delivery loads, coordinating with various internal teams and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation. This position supports the organization’s logistics by managing equipment availability, tracking loads, and reducing costs associated with transportation. The role is essential for maintaining efficient distribution operations during weekend and early week hours. Responsibilities:Dispatch and tender customer delivery loadsManage dispatch and tendering of co-pack and inbound purchasing loadsCoordinate with logistics, scheduling, and plant locations to secure equipmentCommunicate daily with the carrier base to secure equipmentCollaborate with customer service and scheduling to meet equipment needsEngage approximately 80 carriers for overflow orders and reduce deadhead costsWork with Scheduling Coordinator to align loads with warehouse capabilities and reduce detention costsTrack and trace current loads to ensure on-time deliveryCross-train in all dispatch group functionsPerform other duties as assigned Requirements:Detail orientedAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAdaptable to repetitive changes in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelAvailability to work after hours and weekendsMust be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.No current or future sponsorship for employment visa requiredBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent transportation experience Pay Range and Compensation Package:Base pay range: $17.25 to $28.50 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and location Benefits & Perks:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageDiscretionary annual merit increasesProfit sharing401(k) with employer matchStock purchase planEarned paid time offFree two-year community/technical college tuition for employees' children Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
