Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and maintain steam boilers, chillers, cooling towers and all associated auxiliary equipment.
- Operate, monitor and maintain building automation systems associated with all boilers, chillers, water systems and auxiliaries.
- Perform routine and emergency repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery, systems and equipment.
- Perform all chemical treatment testing and monitoring associated with steam, cooling towers and chilled and hot water systems.
- Able to follow and perform detailed preventative maintenance tasks.
- Responds to alarms and takes appropriate action to correct and communicate all issues.
- Documents and records all operating equipment status and provides detailed shift information.
- Complies with all Federal, State, local and company policies regarding regulatory compliance and safety.
Requirements
- Five or more years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam boiler, large tonnage refrigeration chillers and various building automation systems.
- Five or more years' experience with various building automation systems including programming knowledge, operation and troubleshooting.
- Must have strong background and knowledge in building mechanical and electrical systems.
- Universal Technician for CFC and State certified boiler operator license preferred.
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of all applicable OSHA governed safety requirements.
- Must have basic computer skills including all Microsoft applications.
- Must provide personal hand tools normally associated with work of an industrial nature.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently or as a team.
- Willing to work varying shifts, holidays, overtime and emergency call in coverage.
