About the role
The Central Texas Building Engineering Service Project Delivery Leader (PDL) position at HDR is a leadership role within the Building Engineering Services Group (BES). The PDL will report to the Central Texas BES Business Group Manager (BGM) and will oversee project management processes, quality control, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for BES staff across the Area
- Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the BG
- Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement of Project Management including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned
- Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities, striving for continuous improvement
- Collaborate effectively with BG operations, market leadership / sectors, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders
- Perform delegated matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities from BGM
- Streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with the overall Area, corporate policy, and MOA
- Aid with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials, and driving profitability at the project level
- Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches
- Participate in 0% reviews, project reviews, and PARR’s and support project teams with management of claims and losses
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with project teams to verify that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience developing, managing, and leading multi-discipline project delivery teams
- Proven history of delivering high quality, profitable and successful facility projects
- Extensive knowledge and experience with systems and PM tools for effective project management and delivery
- Extensive industry experience in delivering facility projects across market sectors
- Demonstrated experience with managing and leading diverse teams
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
- The ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 10 years related experience
