Central Supply Technician - Per Diem

Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Replenishes supplies using methods specific to service area to ensure appropriate par levels are consistently maintained throughout the inpatient acute care hospital.
• Utilizes computer systems to transact and fulfill order requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
• Receives and fills manual and phone requisitions to effectively fill orders and deliver to requestors in a timely manner.
• Utilizes automated dispensing systems such as the Pyxis machine to ensure crucial supplies are readily available on each inpatient unit.
• Drafts documentation of returned items storing appropriately to ensure all issues are addressed in accordance with department processes.
• Fulfills first in first out rotation of stock.
• Maintains storeroom in an orderly condition by effectively removing boxes and placing items in their assigned and appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Able to be at work and be on time.
• Able to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
• Able to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Able to prioritize and multitask.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in a Central Supply Department within an Acute Care Hospital setting is preferred.
• Computer skills and knowledge is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
