Central Supply Technician

Responsibilities

• Greets incoming delivery vehicles, inspects packages for damage, and accepts them.
• Organizes received supplies and delivers them to departments according to standard work instructions.
• Drives hospital vehicle to deliver supplies to departments off the main hospital campus.
• Affirms accuracy in counts between vendor packing lists, physical products, and ERP purchase orders.
• Collects Kanban bins from assigned departments and returns them to the Storeroom for replenishment.
• Conducts PAR level counts in non-Kanban department storage areas to determine replenishment quantities.
• Delivers filled bins and non-Kanban supplies to appropriate departments and room locations.
• Stocks Storeroom shelves, straightens supplies, removes unneeded packaging, identifies expired or compromised inventory, and performs other tasks associated with maintaining supply areas.
• Fills department requisitions and performs inventory counts associated with physical inventories, cycle counts, or on-hand quantity verifications.
• Promptly and courteously responds to department/customer phone calls and inquiries.
• Handles hazmat packages according to hospital protocol.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or hospital storeroom is preferred.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Prior experience in healthcare is helpful.
• Prior experience working with a Supply Chain Management Electronic Resource Planning (ERP) system is preferred, and working with ERP mobile devices is helpful.
• Basic understanding of Excel is preferred.
