About the Role
This PRN position is responsible for handling, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment to designated areas within Nashville General Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Clean equipment and ensure it is ready for reuse.
- Pick up all dirty equipment daily from “Soiled Utility Rooms” on every nursing unit and return it to the CS Decontamination Room.
- Sign in all dirty equipment on the Dirty Equipment Pick-Up List, completing all sections of the form.
- Sign in all cleaned equipment on the Clean Equipment Pick-Up List, completing all sections of the form.
- Receive stock and rotate supplies in the CS Storeroom using “LTR” (Left to Right) and “FIFO” (First In First Out) methods.
- Restock supplies delivered from the Receiving Clerk daily according to bin locations.
- Report any supply delivery variances immediately to receiving.
- Restock and ensure cleanliness of assigned aisles daily according to the CS Assignment Sheet.
- Utilize the Supply Scan McKesson Automation System to perform the complete Replenishment Process on all Supply Scan Nursing Units daily according to the “Scheduled Task.”
- Print automated Replenishment Reports from the Scheduled Task, match them with the CS Pick Ticket, pull supplies, and deliver/replenish to the designated location.
- Create daily “PAR Inventory” units in Paragon to generate Pick Tickets for nursing units below minimum and avoid supply “stock out.”
- Perform complete inventory of all Supply Scan units when scheduled by the CS Manager.
- Accurately perform manual inventory counts of non-billable patient medical supplies on designated nursing units.
- Ensure non-billable patient medical supplies are available daily according to par levels set and maintained in PAR Level Inventory.
- Enter PAR Level Inventory results into the PAR level management list for designated nursing units.
- Retrieve Pick Ticket Report from the printer and ensure every supply entered is picked, quantity documented, and all sections (Date/Time Filled, Filled By) are completed.
- Note all Pick Ticket Adjustments and provide the ticket to the Inventory Control Coordinator for necessary corrections.
- Issue supply requests via phone, in person, or using the “Requisition for Supply Request” through Paragon Inventory Management, Stock Issue, and/or Requisition.
- Ensure Patient Billable supplies are entered into Paragon-Direct Patient Charging.
- Provide all Direct Patient Charge Pick Tickets Reports to the CS Manager to verify charges in the hospital billing system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Two years of experience in handling medical supplies and equipment is preferred.
