Central Sterile Service, Night Supervisor
About the role
Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations to include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storing, and distributing all instruments handled by Central Sterile Services. Assembles and disassembles case carts. Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies and procedures. Functions as a leader, preceptor and educator. Manages and maintains department inventory and equipment. Collaborates with surgical team to coordinate timely delivery of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures. Assist leader with compliance to ensure the department complies with all local, state and federal healthcare regulations and standards. Develop and implement training programs for new staff and ongoing education for current team members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification required
- 3 years of related experience in Central Sterile Services, sterilization, or central sterile processing required

About Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
