Central Service Technician II
About the role
The Central Service Technician II supports the total health care team at MultiCare Health System by performing tasks such as cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment. This position requires a cooperative manner, working under direct supervision, and involves routine duties with occasional independent decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Supports the total health care team by cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments
- Maintains inventory and transports supplies and equipment
- Works cooperatively with patient care providers and Materials Management staff
- Handles external contacts with patients, vendors, rental companies/agencies, other health care facilities, and physicians as needed
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or healthcare organization training program, as required by location
- Military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW
- In lieu of formal training, candidates with a nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or a minimum of one (1) year of recent sterile processing experience preferred
- Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay scale for this position ranges from $22.03 to $32.94 USD. Factors influencing pay include skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. For positions associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale based on years of experience.
