Job Summary
Core Job Responsibilities
- Carry out Standard Precautions at all times.
- Perform all phases of decontamination: instruments, carts and equipment (commodes, Imeds, Isolation Carts, wheelchairs, stretchers, etc.).
- Operate the washer-decontaminator, cart wash and the steam gun.
- Perform all phases of inspecting and assembling instruments for the OR, CTOR, Cath lab, EP lab, X-ray, ER, Sleep lab and all the off-sites.
- Operate the sterilizers in the department (STEAM, ETO, and STERRAD).
- Maintain accurate logs on all sterilizers.
- Operate heat sealer, labeling gun and drying cabinet.
- Accurately document results.
- Adhere to the proper delinting, folding and assembling of reusable linen.
- Restock hemodialysis carts, minor procedure carts, and prisma carts.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- PREFERRED: 1 year previous related experience
- CS Tech Certification
