Central Office_Substitute School Nutrition Assistant (Supply Employees) 2025-2026

About the role

This is a temporary day-to-day position. The DeKalb County School District is currently seeking Food Service Substitutes for the 2025-2026 school year. Food Service subs are on call employees. If called, you will be required to work at least six (6) hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of the permanent food service assistant.
• All applicants must be able to provide proof of a negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past 12 months and at least three (3) professional references.
• All selected candidates must attend a four (4) hour orientation meeting before they can be authorized to work.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• At least one (1) year of experience in institutional food service preparation is preferred.
• All applicants must have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Proof of a negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past 12 months is required.
• At least three (3) professional references are required.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
