Central Market (Southlake) Food Demo Tasting Specialist - Part time

Responsibilities

• Aid customers with moderate to broad food knowledge.
• Promote sales through knowledge of ingredients, food preparation, recipes, and product.
• Set up and manage demo or sample stations throughout the store.
• Sell specific products through manned stations following guidelines.
• Track and record Return On Investment (ROI) of manned stations.
• Face shelves and keep the department clean during downtime.
• Support customers with physical needs.
• Answer customer questions and explain product merits.
• Demonstrate curiosity for food trends through various learning methods.
• Maintain food safety standards and sanitation in the department.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience in Selling and/or Customer Service.
• Basic food knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of parings and flavor profiles.
• Willingness to learn food pairing profiles.
• Interest and knowledge in food preparation and cooking methods.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Successfully complete the Foodie knowledge review annually.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and squat.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to push/pull heavy loads of 75 lbs.
