Central Market (San Antonio Broadway) Kitchen Production Rep - Full-Time

About the role

Central Market is seeking a Production Representative with availability to include days, evenings, and weekends to handle the freshest, quality ingredients. Assignments will vary by department in store.

Responsibilities

• Mix, shape, bake, wrap, and stock products
• Ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor
• Maintain sanitation in the department
• Maintain organization of back storage, freezer, walk-in, and production area
• Read and execute daily production list
• Provide customer service, including answering questions and taking phone orders
• Assist in monitoring the quality of goods and shrink
• Order and receive products and supplies
• Maintain transfer records
• Continuously prep, wrap, price, sell, and stock products
• Prepare customer samples for self-serve or conduct demos
• Provide superlative customer service and use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales

Requirements

• Experience with commercial production (preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (required)
• Ability to handle stressful situations (required)
• Good verbal and written communication skills (required)
• Knowledge and preparation of baking goods (preferred)
• Values diversity (required)

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.)
• Bend, reach, push, and pull
• Ability to work overnight and flexible schedules (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
