Central Market (Houston) Prepared Foods Production Lead - Full time

Responsibilities

Works under minimal supervision, handling varied and moderately complex duties. Applies advanced skills in area of specialization, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment as needed. May assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other Partners.

As a Production Lead, monitors production flow and controls product quality for new and existing retail customers by:

• Coordinating production flow or ordering of products and organizing the production/work area.
• Overseeing product quality and leading shrink initiatives.
• Managing the production of special orders.
• Overseeing shifts, lunches, and breaks.
• Ordering raw ingredients for products.
• Maintaining sanitation in the department.
• Monitoring working conditions of equipment.
• Assisting in training new partners.
• Supporting and maintaining food safety and sanitation processes.
• Supporting and maintaining all Operational Excellence initiatives.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Work Experience: 5+ years of related experience (Required), Supervisory experience (Preferred)
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment (Required)
  • Knowledge of commercial baking procedures and equipment (Required)
• Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Function in a fast-paced, retail environment
  • Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis
