Responsibilities
- Provides excellent, professional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Utilizes expertise while preparing items in accordance with PCC recipes, including bakery and savory items.
- Responsible for quality control to ensure consistently high-quality product, including overseeing use of the ovens.
- Solves problems effectively and works well as part of a team.
- Leads, directs, and trains Central Kitchen staff while keeping everyone on task.
- Ensures that Central Kitchen orders are ready for pickup on time and that no product is misplaced.
- Shuts down the department at the end of the night, including turning off machines and ensuring freezer and refrigerator doors are closed.
- Oversees staff and provides leadership for the department in the absence of the manager.
- Sets an example for department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Provides support and assistance to managers in all aspects of the job.
- Oversees maintenance of equipment.
- Performs other related duties as needed or required.
Requirements
- Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
- Available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends – schedule may change during the holiday season.
- Production experience is preferred, with familiarity in specialty and prepared foods, including bakery and deli production.
- Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to meet physical demands, including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting between 10 and 50 lbs regularly.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
