Central Issues Assistant - Per Diem - 8-Hour Night Shift

About the role

Cedars-Sinai, a nonprofit, independent healthcare organization recognized as one of the top ten hospitals in the United States and on the "Best Hospitals" Honor Roll by U.S. News & World Report for ten consecutive years, is seeking a qualified individual to support patient care through equipment management. This role involves delivering, picking up, stocking, and cleaning medical equipment in preparation for patient use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, pick up, stock, and clean equipment in preparation for patient care use, working under indirect supervision.
• Follow proper cleaning protocol per manufacturer's instructions for use for medical equipment, including but not limited to: Air Flow, Alaris EtCO2, Alaris Module, Alaris PCA, Alaris Pump, Alaris Syringe Module, Bair Hugger, Epidural Pump, Feeding Pump, Foot Pump, Hepa Filter, Hypo-Hyperthermia, Medela Thopaz, PAPR Helmets, Portable Suction, SCD Machines, Temperature Pump, Wall Suction(s), and Wound Vacs.
• Routinely pick up all equipment from soiled utility rooms across the Medical Center campus and transport to decontamination area for proper cleaning, sterilization, and stocking to cleaned equipment area.
• Routinely stock equipment to areas where par levels have been set for specific areas and units.
• Assist with any ad hoc requests from Supervisors regarding hospital equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of hospital or inventory-related experience with supplies or medical equipment preferred.
• Ability to use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., email, timekeeping, Microsoft Office and other applications, computer, laptop, tablet, pager, smartphone, etc.).
