Central Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and engineering support for proposal development and customer opportunities.
• Collaborate with account managers to prepare accurate and timely proposals.
• Review customer inquiries and determine the best approach to meet project requirements.
• Research products, materials, and pricing to support quotations.
• Configure equipment and system conversions using specialized tools and software.
• Aid in preparing presentations and supporting documents for customer meetings.
• Track orders and deliveries, ensuring proposals and purchase orders are accurate and aligned.
• Support the service team with quick-turnaround quotes when needed.
• Maintain accurate project records and communication through company systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and customer support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Other applicable degrees such as Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical fields will also be considered.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with CRM/ERP systems a plus.
• Able to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience in industrial equipment, boilers, or mechanical systems is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn specialized software such as the Cleaver Brooks configurator.

Job Benefits

• Salary Range: $70,000-$95,000 DOE, to include overtime compensation.
• 401(k) Plan with 100% vested, 4% Safe Harbor Match: First 3% of deferral matched 100% and the second 2% of deferral is matched at 50% for a total available match of 4%.
