CENTRAL ELIGIBILITY AND AUTHORIZATION TEAM COORDINATOR
About the role
The Central Eligibility Authorization Team Coordinator is responsible for the data integrity of all admission, discharge, transfer and authorizations, as well as, maintaining authorization updates in all service lines in states who are live with CEAT. The CEAT Coordinator interacts with each of business line operations throughout these states and ensures accuracy of data in order for clean claims to be realized.
Responsibilities
- Manages pending admissions, new admissions, and outstanding items
- Follows documentation standards set by Central Eligibility Authorization Team Leadership team and assists management in implementing those standards
- Creates accurate and timely documentation as needed for Central Eligibility Authorization Team processes and authorizations
- Manages room and board agreements
- Trains new employees on internal and external systems
- Reviews Central Eligibility Authorization Team playbook and documented processes to ensure it is accurate and up to date
- Verifies insurance eligibility and authorizations, provides operations with client information and potential issues
- Facilitates root cause analysis and recommendations for resolution
- Reviews weekly Revenue Cycle Reports
- Sets priorities and triages tasks including but not limited to service desk tickets, problems, and special projects as assigned by leadership
- Develops and presents topics at Monthly Team Meeting
- Reviews and prepares objective documentation for quarterly/annual Coordinator evaluations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Some college and/or work experience preferred
- Proven experience with conflict resolution
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience and ability using Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of government and commercial payer requirements
- Ability to demonstrate our company Legacy standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet set deadlines
- Able to multi-task and show flexibility as daily priorities arise and change
- Minimum travel required
