About the role

The Center Support Specialist works in collaboration with the Managing Director to provide daily oversight for all programs within the Family Center. This includes assisting with all aspects of compliance and program regulation, accreditation, licensing, staffing and professional development, curriculum, quality control, budgeting, parent and public relations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with all aspects of compliance and program regulation, accreditation, licensing, staffing and professional development, curriculum, quality control, budgeting, parent and public relations.
  • Manages and approves staff schedules and time off.
  • Manages staff training records.
  • Manages food service and mealtime practice in accordance with CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) requirements.
  • Audits children’s files to ensure compliance with licensing, NAEYC Accreditation, and School Readiness standards.
  • Provides program oversight for the Managing Director when he or she is not available.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or closely related field, and a minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an accredited child care program required.
  • Master’s degree with 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, child care licensing, accreditation, and Early Head Start also preferred.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, child care licensing, accreditation, and Early Head Start also preferred.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Annual Salary $50,000 pro-rated based on hire date.

Schedule

12-Month (year-round) position
