Center Supervisor

About the role

This position supervises plasma center operations and staff to ensure efficient plasma collections. Reporting to the Center Manager, responsibilities include:

• Supervise daily activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Provide clear and consistent instructions and directions
• Conduct meetings and communicate performance expectations
• May perform tasks in work areas and advise on employee relations or donor issues
• Facilitate donor movement and ensure adequate staffing based on center size and donor flow
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure compliance with HSE and OSHA policies
• May assist with recruitment and selection of center operation staff
• Must comply with and promote company policies and procedures
• May assist with marketing initiatives to increase donor retention
• Ensure a safe and confidential work environment
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily operations and activities
• Communicate performance expectations and resolve employee relations issues
• Manage donor flow and staffing levels
• Monitor time card reporting and attendance
• Conduct error investigations and recommend process improvements
• Participate in performance appraisals and provide feedback
• Document coaching actions and maintain training files
• Assist with recruitment and selection of staff
• Adhere to and promote compliance with company policies and procedures
• Support marketing efforts to retain donors
• Maintain a clean and efficient work environment
• Ensure proper use of operating supplies and forms
• Comply with HSE and OSHA policies and procedures
• Conduct internal audits and documentation checks
• Ensure accurate donor data recording
• Understand and adhere to hyper immune program policies (if applicable)
• Work in a fast-paced, sometimes hazardous environment
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Requirements

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year supervisory, leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of others
• Shares information with internal contacts with common desire to reach a solution
• Ability to make decisions with moderate impact on immediate work unit
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation
• Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking
• Reach, bend, kneel, and have high level of manual dexterity
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
• May work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year supervisory, leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of others

• Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business
• Cross-training in all technical areas and other functions to meet the needs of the business
• Knowledge of hyper immune programs (if applicable)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes hazardous environment
