About the role

This position supervises plasma center operations and staff to ensure efficient plasma collections. Reporting to the Center Manager, responsibilities include compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), supervising daily activities, providing clear instructions, facilitating donor movement, ensuring adequate staffing, monitoring time card procedures, conducting error investigations, and participating in performance appraisals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise center operations daily activities in compliance with SOPs.
  • Provide clear and consistent instructions and directions, conduct meetings, and communicate performance expectations.
  • May perform tasks in work areas and advise management on employee relations or escalated donor issues.
  • Facilitate donor movement throughout the center to minimize wait times and processing.
  • Ensure the center is staffed with adequate personnel based on center size, structure, and donor flow.
  • Monitor time card reporting procedures, attendance, and overtime usage.
  • Conduct error investigations and develop recommendations for process improvements.
  • Participate in performance appraisals and provide performance feedback.
  • Document verbal and written coaching level corrective actions as needed.
  • Aid in maintaining up-to-date employee training files, checklists, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection of center operation staff.
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to increase donor retention.
  • Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures related to hyper immune programs if applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available.
  • Comply with all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct routine internal procedures and documentation audits.
  • Promote safety in all actions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
  • Be cross-trained in all technical areas and other functions to meet business needs.
  • May assist with recruitment and selection of center operation staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year supervisory, leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of others.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Shares information with internal contacts with common desire to reach a solution.
  • Ability to make decisions with moderate impact on immediate work unit.
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
  • Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time.
  • Reach, bend, kneel, and have high level of manual dexterity.
  • Occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
  • Work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.

Pay

The expected base pay for this position at hiring is $23.46/hour - $25.61/hour. Individual base pay for a successful candidate within this range is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies, and other relevant factors.
