Center Store 3rd Shift Supervisor

About the role

The Center Store 3rd Shift Supervisor supports Center Store leadership in overseeing the overnight stocker team across Center Store departments, including grocery, frozen, dairy, general merchandise, wine & spirits, and health & beauty. This position assists in leading and developing a team of 3rd Shift Stockers that keeps aisles clean and shelves stocked while maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Center Store leadership in leading, training, and coaching third shift associates across Center Store departments, reinforcing company policies and performance expectations.
• Provide exceptional and helpful guest service by greeting, acknowledging, and reacting to guest needs throughout the store and across departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper pricing on all stocked items.
• Lead team in unloading product deliveries from pallets and maintaining organized stock rooms across multiple departments.
• Aid in guest assistance, helping guests locate items across departments, suggest products, and provide alternatives when necessary.
• Address guest concerns or dissatisfaction with products or service and take action to resolve issues promptly.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Center Store leadership team and associates to uphold standards and exceed guest expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and associates.
• Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a stressful environment.
• Thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to learn and safely use the following equipment: forklift, harness, power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor.
• Ability to learn and use various systems, including Point-Of-Sale register system.
