Center Store Manager

About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role is within the Center Store Department, reporting to the Center Store Sr. Manager or Store Director.

Summary

The Center Store Department Manager oversees day-to-day operations of assigned Grocery, Frozen Food/Dairy, Natural/Organic, and HBC/GM departments. They execute plans, maintain department operations, and ensure efficient logistical workflows across all assigned center store areas. This role works closely with Center Store associates, providing leadership, training, and support.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of leadership experience
• Thorough knowledge of the retail food business
• Prior experience managing a center store department preferred
• Strong decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of store safety policies
• Ability to learn and use various systems

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand in place for long periods
• Walk in the store
• Bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
• Use fine finger and broad manual dexterity
• Operate equipment
• Lift up to 50-60 pounds occasionally
• Work in varying temperatures and humidity levels
• Move between temperature-controlled areas, freezers, coolers, and the receiving area
• Occasional outdoor tasks to inspect store property

Work Schedule

The Center Store Manager is a full-time position with a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
