Center for Team Care Physician (M89453)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary care physician to a complex panel of patients, delivering high quality acute and episodic care, chronic disease management, and wellness care.
• Candidate will also be part of an interdisciplinary team to manage the preventive needs of a population of patients in addition to complying with billing, documentation, credentialing, and other administrative requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
• - Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• - At least 3-5 years of post-residency experience managing a complex patient panel in a busy primary care clinic.
• - Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure
• - Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
• Preferred Qualifications
• - Experience in value-based care or concierge care
• - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• - Experience working on an interdisciplinary team to manage a patient population
• - Experience working or supervising APPs
• - Experience or interest in working with pediatrics
• - Experience in lifestyle medicine
