About the role

The University of Missouri Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) seeks a senior psychologist with a passion for client care and a commitment to advancing mental health equity. With over 40 years of experience, CBH provides no-cost psychological services to children and adolescents in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents, including test administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing.
• Explain complex or sensitive information to clients and families with clarity and empathy to build consensus.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to practicum students, interns, and early-career clinicians.
• Support staff development through feedback, case consultation, and training.
• Collaborate with leadership on workflow improvements and grant-funded program implementation.
• Represent CBH in community partnerships and professional networks.
• Maintain productivity standards by meeting billable hour expectations while benefiting from CBH's support team infrastructure and referral network.
• Collaborate and consult with CBH staff and trainees, delivering psychoeducational presentations to community organizations and university employees as needed.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology and 2 years of experience in counseling.
• Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents, including test administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing.
• Familiarity with Evidence-Based Practices: Knowledge of and experience using standardized assessment tools and best practices for diagnosing behavioral, emotional, and developmental disorders.
• Productivity and Time Management Skills: Ability to meet billable hour expectations while maintaining high-quality standards in clinical documentation and client care.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working within a multidisciplinary team and explaining complex findings to families and referral sources.
• Prior experience supervising trainees, interns, or early-career clinicians in an outpatient mental health setting.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to program improvement, workflow optimization, or staff training initiatives.
• Experience representing a clinic or program in community partnerships, outreach, or professional networks.
• Ability to navigate complex cases and changing priorities while maintaining a client-centered approach.
