About the role

At KinderCare Learning Companies—the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award—you’ll lead a center that delivers a variety of early education and child care programs (KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Crème de la Crème). As a Center Director, you’ll shape confident learners, build lasting parent and community relationships, and grow KinderCare’s presence while experiencing the daily trials and triumphs of early childhood education. Responsibilities

  • Hire, engage, and develop a team of “best-in-class” educators who are passionate and committed professionals.
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
  • Use your business, sales, and marketing skills to grow KinderCare’s presence in the community, increasing enrollment and center visibility.

Requirements

  • At least one year of solid leadership experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Budget and financial accountability; revenue generation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NAEYC/NAC accreditation and state licensing standards preferred.
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Able to assume low postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children, ensuring their safety.
  • Sufficient vision and hearing to monitor and protect children effectively.
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
  • Ability to work on-site at the center daily.
