Position Overview
As a CEMS Design Engineer, you will collaborate across Engineering, Sales, Production, and Project teams to design, support, and deliver high-quality CEMS solutions that meet customer needs. This role involves technical design work, documentation, vendor coordination, and occasional on-site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Sales teams to develop CEMS designs and solutions.
- Create parts lists and material specifications.
- Cook with vendors to procure materials and components.
- Work with the Production/Service Department to troubleshoot system integration and testing issues.
- Support Technical Writing and Project Management teams in developing system documentation and manuals.
- Create, revise, and finalize documents and drawings in AutoCAD.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Prepare and maintain technical submittals.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for technical discussions, kick-off meetings, installation oversight, or troubleshooting (up to 15%).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Experience writing design specifications and interpreting customer requirements.
- Knowledge of pneumatic controls and relay logic.
- Knowledge of power distribution and electrical controls.
- Experience creating detailed electrical design drawings, schematics, and related documentation for electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Electrical and Mechanical).
- Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
