Cellar Worker

Seasonal cellar worker position in Santa Rosa, CA from August through November. Pay rate: $20.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Follow and observe all safe cellar practices
• Sanitation in all areas (facility and equipment)
• Perform equipment set-up duties
• Wine and juice transfers, racking, and blending
• Understanding of barrel operations: racking, filling, and topping
• Filter operation: pressure leaf, lees, pad, membrane, and sterile filtration
• Chemical additions to wine and juice
• Act as team leader, directing team members to achieve production standards
• Lift and move 50 pounds
• Other duties assigned by Foreperson or Cellarmaster

Requirements

• Reliable with a good work ethic and desire to develop skills
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repetitively
• Work standing and walking on concrete surfaces for extended periods
• Flexible work schedule; ability to work any shift and overtime as needed, especially during harvest season

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a production or fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills
• Able to work in elevated areas and confined spaces
