Cell Site Engineer

About the role

As a Cell Site Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and upgrading cell sites or installations, performing network system optimizations, troubleshooting, and generating problem-tracking tickets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade cell sites or installations
• Evaluate network coverage and make recommendations to improve it
• Perform optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems and applications
• Generate, drive, and update problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems
• Escalate issues to appropriate internal/external engineer teams for resolution

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience
• Three or more years of relevant experience required
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time
• Ability to report to the designated job site/work location within 45 minutes to one hour of notice
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies like Telephony Switching, Data Communications, and Network Routers
• Computer support experience, including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations
• Experience in Lucent, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, or Ericsson, base station equipment with LTE or CDMA technology
• Experience in dark and lit fiber testing using equipment such as OTDR, and fiberscope
• Vendor management experience

Skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$74,500.00 - $122,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule
