Cell QA Inspector I (Cell Disassembly - 2nd/3rd Shift)

About the role

This role uses equipment and computerized systems to produce, evaluate, process, disassemble suspect or defective lithium-ion batteries. Responsibilities may include disassembling and disposing of scrap/raw materials, filling out reports, and escalating results to appropriate team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality standards are followed
• Check product and production process for desired quality to specifications
• Monitor data from measuring devices
• Work with teams and individuals to ensure safety standards are being adhered to
• Assemble and disassemble equipment
• Create work orders or instructions as needed
• Engage in troubleshooting and report issues if not resolved
• Identify defects during sales analysis
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
• Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOPs during downtime (e.g., line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
• Conduct quality checks, troubleshoot, and perform basic equipment maintenance throughout the production process
• Collect qualifying products and package for shipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Vocational Certificate or Associate Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
• 1 to 3+ years of related experience
• Manufacturing experience required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes, Latex Gloves, Nitrile Gloves, Respirator
• Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours up to 7 days a week: Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, Stoop/twist/bend, Reach overhead, Sit and/or stand
