Cell Operator Pre-Fire - 3rd Shift

About the role

This position is on the 3rd shift, working Monday through Friday from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Correctly log onto the shop floor data system for labor tracking
  • Read and follow product criteria, activity instructions, and elements
  • Adhere to all safety precautions as outlined in the Activity Instruction
  • Operate appropriate equipment/tools: Press, Pill Heater, Belt Sander, Anneal Bake Oven, Ring Press, CNC Machines, Burr Gun, Ultra Max, Hand Tools
  • Form and finish cores according to Activity Instruction and product criteria
  • Load anneal bake setters per product criteria, if required
  • Load and unload anneal bake oven, if required
  • Understand loading and operation of CNC machines
  • Ensure visual and dimensional quality of green cores (gauge cores)
  • Visually inspect cores for unacceptable defects per product criteria or activity instruction
  • Correctly log lot travelers and scrap after each tray and transport cores to kiln truck
  • Complete OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) sheets
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) per schedule
  • Perform pre-shift die inspection and TPM checklist
  • Observe all safety policies and regulations
  • Maintain a high attendance record
  • Use dial calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges with basic proficiency
  • Understand and utilize the HCS "Help Chain"
  • Maintain pacing via the Aussie Pace System
  • Engage in problem-solving with leadership
  • Perform other duties as directed by leadership

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Three (3) months’ on-the-job training to fulfill introductory period
  • Six (6) months’ experience to be eligible for certified operator status
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Mental and visual attention to detail
  • Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds consistently
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required at time of hire (visa sponsorship not available)
  • Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items
