About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and hands‑on Cell Lead to support and guide a team of associates within a production assembly cell. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring consistent and accurate assembly of products according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead an assembly cell of 4–6 associates to meet daily production demands.
- Engage in hands‑on assembly using various hand tools and equipment.
- Maintain a safe working environment and model safe work practices.
- Assign team members to tasks within the work cell based on skills and production needs.
- Verify materials and parts against work orders.
- Ensure proper and consistent assembly of components to blueprint specifications by verifying measurements.
- Perform self‑inspection and peer quality checks throughout the assembly process.
- Immediately alert the team lead to any quality concerns or deviations.
- Conduct waste walks, assist with line balancing, and apply Cell Principles to improve efficiency.
- Communicate to the team lead at least 30 minutes before order completion to minimize downtime and support smooth job transitions.
- Report obstacles impacting production, such as material shortages, equipment issues, or staffing concerns.
- Train new and existing associates within the cell.
- Follow all processes, policies, guidelines, and work instructions without exception.
- Flex into operator duties when not training or addressing issues in assigned cells.
- Complete all required production paperwork, including:
- Do Check Verify Form
- Tote Verification Form
- Shipping Labels
- Additional Material Request Form
- Hourly cycle‑time recording
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 6+ months of demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and productivity principles.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members.
- Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measurement tools.
- Must be able to perform hands‑on assembly tasks as needed.

- 2nd Shift- 2:30p - 11:00p
- 3rd Shift 10:30p - 7:00a
