Responsibilities
- Organize and streamline processes/procedures
- Derive the root cause through on-site verification, investigation, and ignition analysis of safety issues
- Conduct a reproducibility experiment to verify the probable cause of a field issue
- Cell/Module/Pack tear-down analysis and reporting
- Analyze structural and design safety risks of automobile & battery (Pack to Cell) system
- Analyze Risk and cause through buyback and issue adjacent cell analysis
- Analyze the cause of battery failure through precision analysis equipment
- Create instruction and diagnostic manuals
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with a solid understanding of cell and electrochemical fundamentals
- Experience in a Quality Engineering role or Reproducible experiment work in an automotive manufacturing environment including internship or co-op’s experience
- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of experience, including internship or co-op experience, in a Quality Engineering role or Reproducible experiment work in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Fire related failure parts analysis experience including EV/PHEV vehicle diagnosis (GST)
